Obi Peter is the founder of Youths for Peace Building& Development in Africa (YOUPEDA), an organization that promotes peace, interfaith dialogue action, youth, non-violence gender based violence, women’s rights, governance, democracy, youth inclusion and research. Obi has participated in both local and international engagements during the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR 2250) sessions and proposal, leading to its adoption in 2015. Served as a pioneer Nigeria member of United Network of Young Peace Builders (UNOY Netherlands).

Obi is a Development Practitioner and a manager who leads in conceptual design approach, conflict prevention, community driven sustainable solutions, team leadership, multi-stakeholder coordination and strategic planning.

He is an active member of the Education Self Defense (ESD Global).

Obi is a co- editor, co-author and coordinator of a global publication entitled “Youths in Africa- Agents of Change" and writer of diverse interests, topics in Africa and global issues.

Born and bred in Nigeria, and graduated from the famous indigenous Nnamdi Azikiwe University- Awka with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion and Human Relations. He also has advanced knowledge in Global Education / Citizens, Democracy and Human Rights and Intercultural studies in global dimension.
