Communities, processes, and supporting organizations
WikiPeace humbly takes the challenge of enabling and facilitating a productive collaborative process, involving individuals and organizations of the global Peace building community, to create a comprehensive as possible body of knowledge , which will present a rich and complex understanding of what Peace and Peace building is about.
At times, the knowledge will present unambiguous information, such as the e-mail address of some organization or a year a Peace hero was born, at times the knowledge will be dependent on context and perspective, and at times these perspectives will hold tensions or be conflictual.
WikiPeace takes upon itself to deal with this span of objectives through suitable constructs, effective process (see below), and based on fundamental values.
To allow this, the main constructs related to the developing and maintenance of WikiPeace are communities and supporting organizations.
The natural constructs fit for collaborative work are communities. In this context, a community is a social unit with commonalities such as norms, culture, values, customs, and mission, but without rigid organizational borders and hierarchy, allowing diversity and multiplicity in identities, perspectives, and organizational affiliations.

The authority of granting membership to an individual or organization, is with the community of reliability trustees, while consulting with the community of value trustees when needed. Registered contributors will communicate with editors to integrate new, or update existing, information and knowledge in WikiPeace.
